ARLINGTON HIEIGHTS, ILLINOIS, USA, September 28, 2009: Hill Tech Sales, a leader in components for electrical power conversion is proud to introduce the smallest DC- DC<\/a> switching regulators with 1A output current<\/p>\n

This a new Aimtec series of non-isolated, DC-DC switching regulators which produce a high output current of 1A within one of the smallest SIP3 packages, measuring only 11.7 x 7.4 x 10.2mm for lower profile circuit implementations such as portable power and standby-power applications.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

This is a feature rich alternative to 78xx linear regulator. For example the AMSR1-78Z step-down converters accept wide inputs ranging from 4.75-18VDC to 6.50-18VDC that step down to tightly regulated (\u00b10.6%) output voltages starting as low as 1.5 to 5VDC, within efficiency rates as high as 94%.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Amazingly it is also pin-to-pin compatible with the TO-220 package, and does not require a heat sink<\/a>, input and output capacitors or any of the other external components associated with traditional linear regulators.\u00a0<\/p>\n
