Input current to ballast = [(NOMINAL WATTS \/ Power Factor) * (Power supply efficiency)] \/ Ballast input voltage<\/p>\n

\u00a0Example:<\/p>\n

\u00a0For:<\/p>\n

NOMINAL WATTS = 10,000<\/p>\n

Power Factor = 0.92<\/p>\n

Power supply efficiency) = 90%<\/p>\n

Ballast input voltage = 220VAC<\/p>\n

\u00a0Gives:<\/p>\n

Input current to ballast = [( 10,000 \/ 0.92) * ( 0.90)] \/ 220 = 44.47 Amps<\/p>\n
