IEC makes complete assemblies for electronics in every industry including military, aviation, medical industry and locomotives. These products can be found in military equipment on the battlefield to medical equipment in hospitals. Defense contracts now make up about 39% of the company’s business, up from 5% three years ago.
The company has also increased its workforce. In 2005, IEC employed 120 people, as of September 2009 that has grown to 360.
